Healthy Living Tips For The Home And Office

Healthy living tips for home and office

Hi, I’m Geydi Moreno Nuñez and I’m the owner of FinerStudio, a small yoga and Zumba studio in the Bronx. Today, I’m writing here on Aimee’s blog as a guest blogger to deliver some fitness tips from the point of view of sports professionals.

Majority of us spend over half of our day sitting in front of the computer: bad posture, not enough blood flow and a serious lack of energy. Despite all of that sitting, you still feel exhausted when you get home – so you often end up missing that exercise class you were planning to go to. If that sounds familiar, don’t worry! Here are some of my fitness tips and lifestyle advice that you can do from your home or the office.

The Best Teas To Drink For Stress

Stress, stress, stress – such a common thing that we deal with as New Yorkers. It’s a modern plague that can truly devastate when left untreated. But is medication the right way to go? A lot of people prefer to stay away from manufactured medicine and go for something more natural, and a lot healthier. Exercising is a great way to relieve stress, my go-to is definitely yoga (I’ve been trying to get into meditation as well to calm my mind). My 10-Week Journey With Slendertone Connect Abs [REVIEW + GIVEAWAY]

Slendertone Connect Abs

Hey fitsters! Can you believe that Summer is coming to an end already? With Labor Day weekend officially behind us, who’s excited for Fall? Hope everyone enjoyed an amazing long weekend and continue to take advantage of the warm weather before the coldness invades us.

Anyway, some of you have probably seen me mention Slendertone on my Instagram, I’m finally ready to give my full review! I received one of their newest products, the Connect Abs belt around the beginning of July. The program was initially planned for 6 weeks (my lazy butt took 10-weeks to complete this) and now I don’t even get to show off my body since Summer is practically ending. Well, I’m still glad to have tested this gadget, because now I can let you guys in on how and if it worked!

The first smart toning ab belt to actively engage and tone core muscles, the Slendertone Connect Abs delivers clinically proven Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technology through an interactive mobile app and online experience to help men and women tone, firm and strengthen their core muscles.

I was intrigued since the beginning. I’m not normally a big fan of fitness gadgets, the only thing I use is my Nike fuelband to track my daily activities. To be honest, wearing a belt for 30 minutes during each workout session that sends electronic pulses and promises me better abs makes me skeptical. So did it work for me? Read on to find out!

Mint Chocolate Chip Green Smoothie [RECIPE]

Mint chocolate chip green smoothie

Sometimes greens can be boring. I’m a green smoothie drinker (almost daily breakfast routine) and even though I love them, my tastebuds get tired of the same old thing. It was time to remix the ingredients to freshen up the basics!

This mint chocolate chip green smoothie’s superpower ingredient is a handful of raw cashews. The cashews give the drink a creamy texture after blending, so it tastes just like a milkshake! I do love me a milkshake. =D They are also loaded with protein and healthy fats to keep me full until lunchtime. So, it’s basically magic. Not to mention, who doesn’t love chocolate chips?
